Worldschool pop-up day 7 – Batu Caves

It’s the last day of an amazing week at the worldschool pop-up and the last formal event for us was visiting Batu Caves. The Caves contain an atmospheric Tamil temple complex which is built into a cave in a mountainside and accessed via a steep and colourful stone staircase. The site is watched over by a giant golden statue of Lord Maruga and many, many monkeys!

After a hot climb there was nothing better than eating a delicious banana leaf meal in the cool of one of the restaurants at the bottom of the mountain – yum!
