Leaving Kandy for Colombo – TukTuk to Train to TukTuk

As we are 5 persons + luggage, we cannot all fit in a single tuk tuk. So we usually get two of them, one with Lisa and one with me, sharing the kids and luggage.

This time around we the observation saloon wagon on the Intercity Express from Kandy to Colombo. It features large window panes from which we can watch the scenery en route.

We loved the manual clock display. Someone would come and turn the hands of the clock to the next train time and platform every once in a while

we got to Colombo and a tuk.tuk driver said he could fit all of us and our luggage in his tuk tuk for the 40 minutes ride to our destination.

We agreed, for the sake of the adventure.

The kids have become such hardy travellers that now they can take power naps anywhere.. even in cramped Tuk Tuks..
